Fancy an aromatic dip for your next aperitif? Why not try our feta dip with a date and olive topping. Recipe from thehungrywarrior

Ingredients

Dip:

  • 150 g plant-based feta alternative
  • 150 g plant-based cream cheese alternative
  • 1 garlic clove, grated
  • 1⁄2 organic lemon zest
  • 1-2 tsp olive oil
  • Pepper

Topping:

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Place the feta and cream cheese alternative in a medium-sized ovenproof dish.
  3. Add the grated garlic, lemon zest, freshly ground black pepper and olive oil.
  4. Mash everything with a fork and mix well.
  5. Bake the mixture in the oven for about 20–25 minutes, until the surface is lightly golden on top.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare the topping: pit the dates and olives, dice them into small cubes, and place in a bowl. Finely chop the rosemary, cut the basil into strips and add to the bowl. Add the lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper and mix well.
  7. Remove the finished dip from the oven, top with the date and olive topping and serve with bread.
